Sheer Mesh Bikini

There are few swimwear styles that can make you more tempting and irresistible to the eyes than sheer mesh bikini. Combining the powers of sheer and mesh features, this style strategically hides your private parts, bares your other parts, and leaves the rest to the imagination. With a special design that allows you to cover what must be covered, while permitting peeks of what is hidden, these swimsuits enable your body to have an unspoken tease simply by being worn.

Varieties of semi-transparent beachwear, like other types of similar swimming outfits, are also made from materials or fabrics that keep the skin amply covered when dry. When wet, these bathing suits become somewhat transparent, leaving what they used to hide in their dry state completely exposed. Compared with see-through bikinis, sheer types are a little less daring. This can be credited to the fact that such beachwear only reveal the wearer’s body when they are wet. Otherwise, they are pretty similar to regular bathing suits.

About mesh beachwear

This type of bikini had the height of its popularity in the 1970s, during which several women favored what was referred to as the “homemade look.” As a matter of fact, in 1978, Sports Illustrated Magazine released one of the most famed of all mesh pieces ever created. It was a white decent-looking fishnet swimwear worn by supermodel Cheryl Tiegs on the beach. The bikini’s transparent nature, along with her skin and body, was revealed when she finally collided with the sea’s clear blue waters.

These bikinis are usually made of crochet, vinyl, or Lycra. So far, crochet has been the most popular type, though there are also others who prefer those made of nylon, Lycra, or a combination of the two.

These pieces come in halter, string, triangle, and micro top varieties. There are also full scoop, micro, Brazilian, and thong bottoms. You can have fun mixing and matching different colors and bottom and top styles for more variety.

Care and maintenance

After wearing your swimwear, make sure to wash it immediately. Avoid allowing it to dry unwashed because doing so would make your bikini prone to wear and tear. Too much exposure to the sun coupled with sand, sea salt, dirt, and sweat can cause your bathing suit to be easily worn out. Also, hand washing is more appropriate for these items, since machine wash might be too strong for them.
